It takes a lot of pressure off picking decor, colors, themes, etc. New Year’s Eve weddings favor black and gold accents, while other December dates come with festive options. Couples can choose a more muted green and red palette, or lean into a full white, winter wonderland. These colors can accent the decor and stationary to make the holiday wedding genuinely feel like an absolute wonderland.
Take Advantage of Christmas Decor Prices
It is no secret that decorating a wedding can increase the overall budget. But, a great advantage to having a holiday wedding is the decor prices. Holiday decorations can be found at great prices, especially when caught at the end of the season. It’s easy to find plenty of garland, wreaths, holly, etc. for great prices that other wedding decor cannot compete with.
Avoid Major Holiday Dates
When planning a holiday wedding, avoid scheduling it for Christmas Eve, Christmas, and any other major holiday dates. Though it would be magical to have an anniversary on a major holiday, it is more considerate to schedule the wedding a few days before or after the major holiday bustle. This way more of your guests will attend and everyone will still be in the holiday spirit. New Year's Eve is sometimes a good alternative date for people who want a true holiday wedding, but do not want to mess with guests’ major holiday plans.
